Abstract

The purpose of "The Effect of Cadmium Exposure on Kidney Proximal Tubules Cells Defect of White Wistar Rat (Rattus norvegicus L.)" research is to explain white wistar mouse proximal tubules kidney cells defect caused of cadmium exposure in different dosage given in 30 days. This research was true experimental, used Post Test Only Control Group Design with different cadmium dosage exposures on mouse. Research operation used 3 different dosage groups, they were control group (0 ppm), treatment I (50 ppm), and treatment II (200 ppm). Data was gathered by reading results and counting cadmium accumulation amount in the kidney, cloudy swelling cells, hydrophic degeneration cells and necrosis cell per surveillance area in kidney tubules hispatologic preparation. Data gathered was analyzed with linier varians analysis that followed by LSD test. Result of research showed that for cadmium accumulation amount in kidney cell variable, the amount of cloudy swelling cells and the amount of hydrophic degeneration cells in cadmiwn exposed kidney in different dosage gave significantly different results. Necrosis cell amount variable not showing any significantly different results.
