Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of the growth of bacteria indigenous to some compound hydrocarbon, the influence of variation microbial consortia (10 types of bacteria and 3 types of yeast) (F1), (6 types of bacteria and 3 types of yeast) (F2), (3 types of bacteria and 3 types of yeast) (F3) and F4 (4 types of bacteria indigenous) in oil degradation and influence the length of time incubation in oil degradation by selected microbial consortia (F3 and F4). This research is descriptive and experimental consisting of 1 control and 3 treatment with use complete random block design. Date logarithm of heterotrophic microbial Total Plate Count (CFU / mL) and the percentage biodegradation analysis by descriptive and statistic use one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA one-way) and followed Duncan test (p = 0.05) if there is a difference. The research results show: (1) indigenous microbes have capability to growth on hydrocarbons (oil sludge, oil, phenantren) but different growth respons depending on hydrocarbon compound,(2)variation of microbial consortia (F1, F2, F3 and F4) influence in degradation of oil sludge at 7 days of incubation, (3) length of time incubation increased biodegradation of oil sludge. Combination treatment and the best of incubation in biodegradation of oil sludge is F4 treatment at 21 days of incubation with percentage biodegradation of oil sludge as high 57.91% compared to control treatment as high 20.06%.
