Abstract

This thesis attempts to analyze the influence of capital expenditure, economic growth, and open unemployment rate toward the poverty rate in East Java Province during the year of 2007- 2011. Capital expenditure as decribed in Pasal 50 Letters C (Permendagri No. 13, 2006) is used for expenses in purchasing/ acquasiting or constructing assets which valuable for more than twelve months on governments activities such as; lands, equipments and machines, buildings, roads, irrigation networks, and other fixed assets. Meanwhile, Economic growth is defined as the annually change report in Gross Regional Domestic Product of districts or cities in East Java province during the research period from the year of 2007 – 2011 which reveals by a percent on the constant prices of 2000. Further, Open unempolyment rate is the comparison data between the total number of unemployment and employee in districs or cities of East Java province from the year of 2007 -2011 which reveals in percentage. From the analysis, it is expected to find out that the high number of economic growth and a low unemployment rate are able to reduce the poverty of district or cities in East Java province partially and impartially at the year of 2007 – 2011. Here, Panel Methode is helpful to analyze such influences to reduce the poverty rate. Thus, in the future this thesis will give some informations and knowledges in order to improve the economic growth and reduce the number of unemployment and poverty in East Java province.
