Abstract

No integrated data storage and registration system in AIDS surveillance of data base form in the Health Department of East Java province becomes the background of this data base development. This research aims to develope the AIDS data base surveillance whose function is as the data analysis and manufacture tool to know exactly how huge the epidemic problem and prevalent tendency of AIDS in East Java district are. With the scope of preventive section and epimological surveillance especially AIDS section. The method used is the system development method by observing and interviewing. The system development started from the identification of need-system, system design, and also fixed - hardware and software which are used, and also was experimented to AIDS data entry section of surveillant staff. The result is the information which match with the need of users. There are four kinds of new information needed by stakeholders, first is the information about stage of AIDS, second is the information about medicated patien, third is the information about drop out, and last is the information of medication history. Moreover, The weakness of this development system can be the inputs for the other development system reserchers.
