Abstract
Recovery in exercise can do with active recovery or passive recovery (Fully rest). Massage is one method in recovery after exercise. Sports massage is a type of massage which often used in the sports world, especially in the sporting events for the recovery after exercise. Swedish massage became popular in the sports world. But swedish massage has not yet been proven useful in Indonesia, especially for the recovery after exercise. This research aims to compare the influence the massage techniques sport massage with swedish massage to change the lactic acid blood and blood glucose after submaximal exercise. the research design is "randomized pretest-postest control group design". Used 21 wich can be divided into three groups 1st group with the sport massage and the 2nd group with swedish massage and the control group . exercise is done by ergocycle with 80 percent HRmax. Examination of blood glucose and lactic acid levels held 4 times, at the early (pretest), after warming up (post test 1), 5 minutes after physical activity submaksimal (post test 2) and 10 minutes after physical activity submaksimal (post test 3). T-test results showed blood glucose levels in the groups control, sport massage and swedish massage had p<0.05 which means have differences. T-test results showed lactid acid levels in the groups control, sport massage and swedish massage had p<0.05 which means have differences. Anova results showed lactic acid levels to post 1 with 0.214, the level the significant lactic acid post 2 with 0.007, the level the significant lactic acid post 3 with the significantly 0.020 (p<0.05 ). Test result Anova to blood glucose post 1 with the significantly 0.357, blood glucose post 2 with the significantly 0.709, blood glucose post 3 with the significantly 0.335 (p<0.05). It can be concluded that: 1 With sports massage treatment after submaximal physical activity can increase lactic acid and lowers blood glucose. 2 With a swedish massage treatment after submaximal physical activity can increase lactic acid and lowers blood glucose. 3 Sport massage is increasing the levels of blood lactic acid in lowering blood glucose but no difference when compared with the swedish massage after submaximal physical activity.
