Abstract

Objective: To compare visual acuity in post LASIK patient with microkeratome and femtosecond first day post operation, one week post operation and one month post operation. Methods: We study the patient data from January to June 2014, we observe the pre op visual acuity of the patients, first day post operation, one week post operation, and one month post operation. We use 50 patients data with microkeratome, and 50 patients data with femtosecond. We convert the snellen chart to Log Mar. Results: There were no difference in visual acuity outcome between microkeratome and femtosecond. There are significant difference in visual acuity pre operation (p<0.05), but there are no significant different between first day post operation, first week post operation and first month (p>0.05). Conclusion: Lasik with femtosecond does not make a better visual outcome compared with microkeratome in first day post operation, first week post operation and first month post operation.
