Abstract
in this modern, the osing society of banyuwangi, east jawa still opholds their trdition and culture. In their social relied on a certain and typical tradition. This research found that the structure of bilateral family system applied in the most javanese families. how ever the difference exists on the inheritnace, osing society includes not only biologikal children, but also children born from unmarried couple, step children and adopted children. each of them will recieve difference portion of their parents wealth
