Abstract

Since the issuance of Law No. 43 of 2009 on archives , has had implications for Universities , because in these regulations , it is mandatory for all Universities funded by the state budget revenue of Indonesia( APBN ) for conducting archival and has archives Organization. As one of the universities that carry out functions of Tridharma , Airlangga University selected as a State Universities which become research location , also performs the function of archives , and have an archives organization wich name “Bidang Arsip Universitas Airlangga” . How is the development of management practices on “Bidang Arsip” of Airlangga University ? The purpose of this study is to describe the development of archives management in “badan arsip” Airlangga University. The type of method used is descriptive quantitative research , is intended to illustrate the development of the program . Selection of respondents conducted at the population level , everyone involved in the management of archival records in the “Badan Arsip” of Airlangga University wich total respondent are 30 person . The results and analysis of this study is , in part records management program is appropriate , while some others are still not appropriate , this is due to a lack of depth in preparation for the implementation of records management . “Bidang Arsip” Already have a policy as an institution , but the JRA and the classification is the first and very important in the organization of archives , it is still not implemented , so that records management is still very subjective based on the Staff .
