Abstract

The response individual (stress) against the stimulus (stressor) has many variation. High blood pressure (hypertension) is a human biologic response against the stimulus. Increased blood pressure will be greater for individual who have a high tendency of emotional stress. Hypertension has many risk factors including age, gender, education, occupation, marriage status, family history and also including 4 aspect biologic, psychology, social and spiritual. This study aimed to analyze the relation between risk factors biologic, psychology, social, and spiritual related to degree of hypertension. This research used analytic descriptive with cross sectional approach. The population were all people who experiencing hypertension at Mulyorejo Public Health Center. The total sample are 83 respondents according inclusion criteria who were taken by using purposive sampling technique. Variable of this study is the degree of hypertension and risk factors of hypertension which involving biological factor, psychological factor, social factor and spirituals factor. The data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed by Spearmen’s Rho test with significance level  = 0,05. The result showed there are relation between biological factor with degree of hypertension (p = 0,000 and r = 0,698), psychological factor (p = 0,000 and r = 0,510), social factor (p = 0,000 and r = 0,463) and spirituals factor (p = 0,033 and r = 0,276). It can be concluded that aspect biologic, psychology, social and spiritual relates of stress in hypertension patient in Mulyorejo Public Health Center. Next research can be developed at other area so that we get the differences and similarities characteristics
