Abstract

This research was conducted to observe the influence of application on different doses api-api (Avicennia marina) leaves extract toward embryo resorbtion, body weight and lenght foetal mice (Mus musculus). This research was used 24 male and 24 female matured mice. Female mice were divided randomly into four groups. Each group was used different doses. First group was control and used 1% CMC (Carboxymethylcellulose); second group was used api-api leaves extract 2 gram/kg body weight into CMC 1%; third group was used api-api leaves extract 2,5 gram/kg body weight into CMC 1%; fourth group was used api-api leaves extract 3 gram/kg body weight into CMC 1%. The experiment given per oral on 6-15 pregnancy days. The first day of pregnancy will known if both of them were mating, and female mice shown vaginal plug. The result shown that application of api-api leaves extract was not significantly different for embryo resorbtion and for body weight mice foetus (P>0,05), but it was significantly different for lenght foetal mice (P<0,05).
