Abstract
Diet tinggi lemak rantai jenuh ikut berperan sebagai penyebab meningkatnya prevalensi obesitas dan sindroma metabolik A high saturated fatty chains diet play a role in the increasing prevalence of obesity and metabolic syndrome. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh diet tinggi lemak jenuh terhadap pola peningkatan kolesterol darah Blood lipid profile is an important indicator to determine the risk factors of cardiovascular disorders. This study aims to determine the effect of a high saturated fats diet increase blood cholesterol patterns. Pemberian diet tinggi lemak dilakukan secara ad libitum selama sepuluh minggu kemudian dilakukan pengukuran berat badan, dan pemeriksaan kadar Kolesterol Total secara serial setiap minggu. Providing high-fat diet ad libitum conducted for ten weeks and then measured body weight and examination of Total Cholesterol levels in serial each week. This research is true experimental with the randomized experimental pretest posttest control group separated design. 44 male Rattus norvegiscus strain Wistar were divided randomly into two groups: control group with standard diet and treatment groups with a high-satureted fat diet for ten weeks. Tiap minggu dilakukan pengukuran berat badan dan pemeriksaan kadar kolesterol darah. Each week body weight and blood cholesterol was measured. Analysis of data using independent sample t test. Hasil pengukuran praperlakuan didapatkan rerata berat badan kelompok kontrol 159.5 ± 25,6 gram dan kelompok perlakuan 161.5 ± 27.7 gram. The measurement results before treatment found that mean body weight in control and treatment group was 159.5 ± 25.6 g and 161.5 ± 27.7. Kadar Kolesterol kontrol 87.25 ± 5.74 mg/dl dan kelompok perlakuan 83.5 ± 6.61 mg/dl. Cholesterol in control and treatment group was 87.25 ± 5.74 mg / dl and 83.5 ± 6.61 mg / dl. Increased blood cholesterol levels began to occur at week 2 of high-fat diet, although did not show significant difference. In conclusion, high-fat diet for 10 weeks resulted in increased plasma cholesterol levels but not enough to cause a significant difference.
