Abstract
Humor can be found on television, radio and books. According to Ross (2005) humor is something that makes person laugh or smile. Humor is one of communication activity purposefully and unexpectedly, that is creates something comical and amusing. It insults us to laugh or smile at something funny. The purposes of this research are analyzing the linguistic levels of humor found in Ini Talk Show television program and identifying the categories of verbal humor which occur in the program Ini Talk Show as the object. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach. The writer focuses on verbal humor and language of humor which make humorous effect on the Ini Talk Show television program. The data for this research was taken from one episode of Ini Talk Show. The video will be watched and transcribed to be analyzed for this research. The writer uses theory language of humor proposed by Allison Ross to identify the linguistic levels of humor which occur at Ini Talk Show. the results of this research are incongruity is the dominant category which appear on humor Ini Talk Show and the linguistic levels of humor which often occurred is phonology and syntax.
