Abstract

The aim of this research is to understand influence of season on conception rate and service per conception in artificial insemination beef cattle in Nganjuk. The object of this research is artificial insemination beef cattle in Nganjuk. This is decriptive research, which used secunder data of 15 inseminators of 12 districts on Nganjuk. The data was taken from amount of inseminator service on 2012, 2013, and 2014, amount of pregnant beef cattle after insemination and amount of pregnant beef cattle after first insemination. Those data has been counted for getting conception rate and service per conception every month and classifying based on summer season and rainy season. Analysis of Conception rate and service per conception using SPSS 21 by test of Uji Paired T Test for knowing influence of season on conception rate and service per conception. Result of test Uji Paired T Test is season influences conception rate with probability 0,000 (p < 0,05). Result of test Uji Paired T Test is season influences service per conception with probability 0,000 < α (0,05). For supporting analysis in this research, it is used related questionare to 200 cattleman in 12 districts. Hopefully this research can be used as a guideline for cattleman, inseminator and government for improving efficiency of artificial insemination beef cattle reproduction in Nganjuk.
