Abstract

Objective.To determine the prevalence of precancerous lesions in women with cervical cancer screening in Surabaya. Method. This study was an observational analytic study with cross sectional method conducted in 2 health centers were Tanah Kali Kedinding Surabaya and Mawaddah Hospital Mojokerto. The participans were women aged 20-70 years. Cervical cytology specimens taken from the cervix and done the papaniculaou and bethesda classification. Result. This Study was followed by 140 women of 90 women from the Tanah Kali Kedinding Health Center Surabaya and 50 women from Mawadah Hospital Mojokerto. Pap Smear test result indicate that pappanicolauo clas 1 (same with normal Bethesda)was 17/140 (12,1%). pappaniculoau clas II (same with Bethesda negative for intraepithelial lession or malignancy (NILM) was 121/140 people (86,4%), pappaniculoau class III (same with Bethesda low grade Intraepithelial lesions (LSIL) and high grade for intraepithelial lesion (HSIL) was 2/140 (1,4%) for LSIL. Pap smear test result in Tanah Kali Kedinding health center and Mawaddah Hospital for normal smear
