Abstract

The aim of the research is to prove that combination of silage, formulated concentrate and urea mineral mollasses block (UMMB) could increase crude protein digestibility of the ration by rambon cattle. The cattle was divided into three groups P0 as control treatment (silage only), P1 (silage and formulated concentrate), and P2 (silage, formulated concentrate, and urea mineral molasses block). The treatment was done after one week of adaptation period continued with a feeding tria which each cattle feed consumption recorded daily. Feces weighing and sample collection starts at the 5th week and is done for 7 days. Each day 100 grams of feces is taken and dried under the sun for 1 day then mixed together according to each cow. Proximate analysis method had done to obtain the data of crude fiber and crude protein of total feed ingredients then processing data using Analysis of Variant (ANOVA) based on Completely Randomized Design (CRD), followed by Duncan's multiple range to determine which treatment was best compared with other treatments. Results of the ration combinations were significant differences in the crude protein digestibility between treatments (p<0.05). The P2 treatment gave the highest crude protein digestibility yield that was significantly different to the P1 ration combiation and also significantly different with the P0 as control where as P2 showing a 19% difference with P1 and P1 showing 23% difference with P0.
