Abstract

Fluoride is the one of the "trace elements" and essensial elements for child's growth and development. especially related to bones and teeth as the prevention of dental caries. Fluoride is generally used in medical, especially as the material fluoridation of drinking water, a mixture of toothpaste, mouthwash. topical application for teeth. spray and fluoride tablets. For the aim of medical sector. especially in some products have been determined amount of concentration optimium and secure public consumption such as, drinking water consumption as about 0.6 to 1.0 ppm, and for toothpaste at 800-1500 ppm. Aims: This article aims to describe and analyze the systemic toxicity of fluoride in several organs and mechanism. Literature review: Some recent evidence suggests that consumption of fluoride that exceed y he tolerance limit will result in many disorder Such as dental and bone fluorosis,tooth dimension, bone cancer (osteosarcoma). kidney failure. decreased IQ. depression/stress. hypothyroidism. hip fracture, proteins distruct and molecular cell death. These facts indicate the toxic effect fluoride for children's growth and development.
