Abstract

Nutrients were necessary to regulate the growth and development optimal brain during fetal life until the newborn period. Adequate nutrition used in building and maintaining physical and mental health. So the brain can function in a holistic manner, including intelligence, pesonality, emotion, thought, spirituality and soul. fhe quality of human brain development depends on the interaction between genetic, environmental and nutrition Brain growth requires macronutrient (carbohydrate, protein and fat) and certain micronutrient (iron, zinc, copper, iodine, selenium, magnesium, choline, vitamins A, Bl, 82, 83, 86, Bt 2, C, E and folate) are impoftant role in improving cognitive. Supplementary vitamins and minerals are components of the nutrients needed to protect the brain function of metabolic disorders, due to the lack of one vitamin or mineral and in turn it will increase the incidence of dysfunctional brain and mental disorders.
