Abstract

Unpreparedness of disaster community anticipating result many fatalities and economic. The study aimed to determine the influence of health preparedness of disaster with simulation method of knowledge, attitude and action disaster preparedness: fire in youth organization. This research used quasy experimental with pre-post group design. The population was youth organization with deficient of knowledge, attitude, and action fire disaster. There were 11 people in control groups and 12 people in intervention groups, that has been choosen by total sample methode. The independent variable in this study was health preparedness, while the dependent variable were knowledge, attitude and action in fire disaster. The data were collected using questioners which useful to observe knowledge, attitude and action of respondents. The data were analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann-Whitney Test. The result of the research showed health preparedness has influence to knowledge and action. Statistical analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed that factors influenced with education in youth organization were knowledge (p=0,006) and action (p=0,003). The result of Mann-Whitney Test in knowledge (p=0,018), attitude (p=0,156) and action (p=0,040). Further studies should examine the factor that increased knowledge, attitude and action in youth organization.
