Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out the effects of propolis on histopatological spleen and limfoblast in male mice (Mus musculus) with ovalbumin sensitization. This research used 30 male mice which were 12 weeks old which had 25-35 g of body weight. They were divided randomly into six groups. (K1) as a control negative was given 0.3 ml aquades + CMC-Na/ KgW /day, (K2) as a control positive was given 0.3 ml aquades + CMC-Na/ KgW /day with sensitization, other group were given sensitization and propolis for (K3) 0,4 mg/ KgW /day, (K4) 0,8 mg/0 KgW /day, (K5) 1,6 mg/ KgW /day, and (K6) 12,8 mg/ KgW /day. After 17th days treatment, the mice dissected and taken to the spleen organ preparations made preparations limfoblast and histopatological spleen of mice. The data were analyzed by ANOVA method based on Completely Randomized Design, and further analyzed by Duncan's multiple range (Duncan's Multiple Range Test). The result from statistical analysis showed that treatment with propolis gave effect on enhancement limfoblast proliferations and histopatological of white pulp of the spleen in male mice with ovalbumin sensitization.
