Abstract
The increasing number of career woman make entrusted their children at daycare. One of the most important factor to determine quality of child development is to make sure the role of caregiver to fulfill needs of stimulation, love, and care. Stimulation have an important role in improving child development, especially children’s motor development of children. 10% children have suspect gross motor and 20% children have suspect fine motor at TPA TAAM Ananda. This study aimed to analyze the correlations between stimulation pattern of caregiver with motor development of preschool age (3-5 years). This study was cross-sectional approach. The population were caregiver and children aged 3-5 years in TPA TAAM Ananda Surabaya using purposive sampling technique. Sample target for respondent were 10 caregivers and 20 children. Independent variables was stimulation pattern of caregivers. Dependent variables include the gross motor and fine motor development of preschool. Data collection using an instrument observation stimulation pattern of caregivers and DDST. Data was analyzed using spearman rank correlation test with significant level p≤0,05. The results showed that stimulation pattern of caregiver have significant and strong correlation with gross motor development of preschool (p=0.003, r=0.633) and the stimulation pattern of caregiver has significant dan strong correlation with fine motor development of preschool (p=0.000, r=0.764). If the caregiver provides good stimulation pattern then the motor development of children will be good. Suggested for the further researcher need to scrutinize more about the effectiveness of stimulation pattern with the development of children, especially motor development.
