Abstract

Enuresis still founded on 56% preschool. In modern era, more parents give diapers for their children because of practical. 88,8% parents of preschool at PAUD Pelita Harapan choose diapers for their preschool. The aim of this research was to analyze the correlation between history of diapers usage with toileting ability on preschooler. This study was a cross-sectional research. The population was preschool that ever using diapers in PAUD Pelita Harapan Bondowoso. There are 30 respondents were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The independent variable in this study was history of diapers usage that are long and frequency. The dependent variable was toileting ability. The data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed using spearman rho test with a degree of significance α < 0.05. The results showed a significant correlation between long of diapers usage and toileting ability (p = 0.014) with coefficient correlation is r=0.443. Correlation between frequency of diapers usage and toileting ability has positive relation (p=0.008) and r=0.474. The result showed that long and frequency of diapers usage have positive correlation with toileting ability on preschool. Researcher suggests to analyze factors that influence parents in practical diapers usage for their children
