Abstract

The aim of this research to determined susceptibility of Escherichia coli isolated from raw cow's milk in some farm Surabaya. 30 samples from Wonocolo and Bendul Merisi. For the isolation and identification of Escherichia coli, samples grown in media Brilliant Green Bile Broth later cultured on Eosin Methylen Blue Agar, then in the biochemical test with indol test. Based on the results of the isolation and identification of Escherichia coli obtained from 30 samples studied showed samples positif Escherichia coli as much as 6 samples (20%) and then tested their sensitivity to antibiotic sensitivity test is then performed. This research was conducted by diffusion method of disk Kirby-Bauer with standard Mc Farland no 1. Test results showed bacteria Escherichia coli sensitive to ciprofloxacin (100%) and chloramphenicol (83%), and resistance to amoxicillin (100%), erythromycin (100%) and oxytetracycline (30%).
