Abstract

The toddler was an important period in the process of human growth and development. Development and growth in the past it becomes a critical success of growth and development of children in the next period. This research intends to the incidence of stunting in toddler. The purpose of this study is to reveals how and what care patterns applied by the parents to the incidence of stunting. Qualitative method through snowball sampling technique is used in this research practiced by 34 parents. The results are taken from in-depth and comprehensive interview session with questionnaire. Data analysis technique which has been used to develop the interview outcomes are using interactive analysis model consist of data reduction, data presentment then conclusion drawing. The study results found majority of parents who have children stunting are those with low education, no work, and parents who let their children cared for by others. The conclusion of this research is parents care patterns which applied is quite good so that the results of this study indicate that the toddlers were stunted less than toddlers who are well-nourished.
