Abstract

In the era of globalization, English is very important to make cooperation especially in a government. It is the reason for the writer to choose the Cooperation Division, Public Relation and Protocol Bureau as place to do internship from February 13th and ended on 13th April 2017. the Cooperation Division, Public Relation and Protocol Bureau is located Regional Secretariat at 5th floor, Jl. Pahlawan No. 110, Alun-Alun Contong, Bubutan, Surabaya While doing an internship at the Cooperation Foreign Affair and Monitoring and Evaluating, the writer had a task to translate letters and also cooperation affair proposals. The writer also did the outside agency to monitor and evaluated the results of the cooperation between the East Java with Western Australia. In addition, by performing the task, the writer also attended the meetings and seminars that were conducted by the cooperation division or by the Government of the Governor of East Java. During internship, the writer got a lot of valuable experience. In addition, when doing the application upon the material which had been accepted in the lecture, the writer also learned many things in working on the tasks and had to be responsible such as how to confront the problems that occurred on the job, communicate well, discipline, and also appreciated the opinions of others. In the writer opinion, followed the internship in the cooperation division was very useful to prepared for the real world of work after graduated from college. In doing internship in the cooperation division was very useful because there were some events and tasks given to provide experience. In addition, the staffs there were very friendly and did not hesitate to share knowledge to apprentices who are there, but it would be better to take internship there during February until April because in this month there were more jobs and events that held in cooperation division.
