Abstract
East Java Government Culture and Tourism Service is the technical implementation of local government that has a main task to help the Regent in the field of Culture and Tourism. East Java Government Culture and Tourism Service led by a head department and s/he reports directly to the governor via the province secretary. All of the main tasks of East Java Government Culture and Tourism Service has established in Regional Regulation Article 15 No. 9 in the year 2008. Therein are also written the functions of East Java Government Culture and Tourism Service, such as giving permission and implementation of public services in the field of culture and tourism. East Java Government Culture has 5 (five) departments to help for doing the tasks. The writer has become part of one departments. The writer did the internship at East Java Government Culture and Tourism Service from 11th January to 11th February 2016 as a Member of Marketing Department. This department focuses on how to develop and promote culture and tourism in East Java. During the internship, the writer got a lot of experiences and new knowledges. From this department, the writer learned how to work in group and adapt in new environment. Furthermore, when the writer was assigned to work in TIC juanda, the writer could meet with the tourists from different countries and learn how to communicate well with them. For the writer, the experiences is very important and she hoped that all the experiences and lessons learned from the internship can be applied in her workplace later.
