Abstract
Watching TV is habitually done by the society. Several issues appeared in several TV programs including patriarchal system issue in TV Movie. One of patriarchal issues that appeared in TV Movie is femme fatale. This study aims to identify and investigate how the Femme Fatale represented in Sherlock Holmes The Abominable Bride TV Movie (2016). Femme fatale is considered as a dangerous woman who can act unpredictable such as a killer. In this TV Movie, a ghost bride character who killed her own husband and many other targeted men she hated represents the femme fatale. This study analyzed several frames of scenes, which focus on the emergence of the ghost bride by qualitative film analysis, which consists of narrative (story and plot) and non-narrative aspects (Mise-en-Scène, camera distance, camera angle). To support the analysis of Femme Fatale, the Femme Fatale theory suggested by Mary Ann Doane is applied. This TV Movie carry out the different femme fatale in British. The representation of Femme Fatale in this Detective TV Movie point out that woman emancipation in Victorian Era that shown in this TV Movie does not really exist. Woman who represent femme fatale is become the subject and object of criticizing the feminist critics.
