Abstract

Teaching English has significant activity in the classroom to deliver knowledge, experience, and motivation to students. In globalization era, students need about learning language especially English has growth up for last three years (The Condition of Education, 2016). It shows that student eagerness in learning English is so high. Teachers must have other methods and strategies to improve their teaching ways in the class. Students need the new way to learn English which is more creative, effective, and fun than previous strategy. By using technology in teaching English, it will apply different teaching strategy effectively in the classroom. On the other hand, applying technology will give the students some different learning English. There are supporting teaching aids such as computer applications, website articles, blogs, electronic dictionary, and many learning English videos. These materials will improve student eagerness because there are many choices and options to build the learning environment interesting and creative. Teachers and students can apply brainstorming activity through learning handout only. But, they can change the brainstorm activity by watching videos or looking some pictures from website. This strategy works to be applied for primary students. One of the school that supports teaching English with technology is MI Ma‟arif NU Pucang Sidoarjo. It has “A” accreditation and has also applied Cambridge International Examination in school‟s curriculum. By applying moral, character building, and developing students ESQ makes MI Ma‟arif NU Pucang being one of the favorite primary school in Sidoarjo. The program in MI Ma‟arif NU Pucang supports technology in their learning process. Through leaning with technology, it will make teachers and students become the next great Indonesian society. Teaching young English learners in a private school are not easy. Teachers must well-prepare the lesson plan, teaching aids, and also know the characteristic of their students. Based on the writer side, MI Ma‟arif NU Pucang Sidoarjo is the good place to do the internship program. The teachers and curriculum bring a good teaching and learning atmosphere. The facilities are complete that support students easy in learning process. By combining IMTAQ, Akhlaqul Karimah, and technology information make this school become one of the best school in Sidoarjo. The writer could recommend to the reader especially for junior college who take English Teaching to do internship at this school. The internship as a teacher have several important duties. The writer had unforgettable experience during his internship in MI Ma‟arif NU Pucang Sidoarjo. He learned how to be a teacher‟s assistant, making lesson plan and evaluating after lesson, assessing students‟ exercises, and handling English Laboratory class. The writer can apply effectively the strategy of technology in leaning English while handling Lab class. By using technology, it will improve students eagerness in learning language. The important things that what writer got during internship are to build the learning environment, and to be a good role model as educated person for students.
