Abstract

English is very important language for International Business because International Business always uses English for communicating. International Business using English because English is an international language and it is spoken in many countries around the globe. That condition made by the people that do not speaks in the same native language, so they uses English to communicate between foreign people. Moreover, international business is also very important because it helps to earn valuable foreign exchange between countries. The writer chose to do Internship in East Java Investment Board because that institute working on managing foreign and domestic investments around East Java. That institute made the writer excited because the writer wanted to know more about International Business and also he would like to know how to manage business investment. The writer did the internship at East Java Investment Board for four weeks from 20 February to 20 March 2017. The writer started working at 07.00 AM and finished at 15.30 PM on Monday to Thursday, but Friday the writer started oat 06.30 AM and Finished at 14.30 PM. The writer was positioned as a promotion staff in promotion division. The division’s job was to promote the investment in East Java. The writer just helped the division did the duties on promoting the investment. The promotion division is the important role in East Java Investment Board, and it is more like a backbone of East Java Investment Board. During the Internship the writer feeling so excited because he got several important task to do and also the selected division is fit with the writer’s passion. Moreover, the writer got much knowledge which he never got before. The best knowledge he got was when he helped the division on hosting a meeting in Grahadi building. The writer pleased that he did his internship in East Java Investment Board because the institution gave him so much experience and knowledge. On the internship days, the writer got tasks to do such as translating books, summarizing data, editing letter, preparing and translating questionnaire, and also assisting the division hosting a meeting with the foreign investor. The activities when the writer did his internship make the writer feels like home. For next student who wants to do internship in Promotion division of East Java Investment Board to prepare the knowledge and experience from their study in English Diploma. Skills in English are needed in promotion division. But the most important knowledge if they want to do internship there is subjects about business.For East Java Investment Board, the writer suggest to improve the services quality and also to improve the staff quality. And also the writer hopes that East Java Investment Board will giving their best services to foreign investor so they will investing in East Java, or maybe they will persuade the other investor from their country to invest in East Java too.
