Abstract

Background : adolescent is a period between the development of childhood and adulthold, which is a accompanied by changes in the biological, cognitive, and socio emotional. Currently, adolescent are likely to increase sexual behavior. This phenomena cause by several factors, such as knowledge, parent role, friends role and source of information. The aim of this research was to prove the factors related to adolescent sexual behavior. Method : Observational analytic method with cross sectional design. Sampling was done with simple random sampling which fulfilled inclusion criteria amounted to 126 people. Variabel which is studied in this study are knowledge, parent role, friend role and source of information.. Data analysis by chi square with significance limit α=0,05, contingency coefficient and logistic regression. Result : There were 86 respondents have low risk sexual behavior and 40 respondents have high risk of sexual behavior from 126 samples. After the chi square test, there were significant knowledge (p=0,0001), parent role (p=0,0001), friend role (p=0,0001), and source of information (p= 0,0001) meaning that there was a significant correlation between knowledge, parent role, friend role and source of informationAfter logistic regression testing has been conducted from 4 meaningful variables with chi square test those are knowledge, parent role, friend role and source of information the most significant variable is knowledge. Conclusion : There is a correlation between knowledge, parent role, friend role and source of information with sexual behavior.
