Abstract
This study aims to develop a validated quality control method of Zingiber officinale Rosc. var. Rubrum extract. Samples were collected from three different locations including Materia Medika Batu, Purwodadi Botanical Garden, and Genteng Baru Market. The chromatogram patterns performed using TLC-Densitometry with toluene-ethyl acetate (83:17) as mobile phase and plate TLC Silica gel 60F254 as stationary phase. Spotting was done using Linomat V and Camag TLC Scanner 4 was used for peak analysis at wavelenght 254 nm. The validation of the methods include of stability test, precision, and selectivity. The chromatogram pattern with retention factor (Rf) 0,18; 0,45; 0,52 and 0,91 were chosen as characteristic peaks for Zingiber officinale Rosc. var. Rubrum extract.
