Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of nitro groups on Microwave-Assisted Synthesize Of 2-(2-Chlorophenyl)-3-(4-Nitrophenyl)Quinazolin-4(3H)-One. As comparison, also synthesize 2-(2-Chlorophenyl)-3-phenylquinazolin-4(3H)-One with microwave irradiation. The effect of nitro groups is seen from the reactivity of amine groups to substitute 2-(2-chlorophenyl)-4H-benzo[d][1,3]oxazine-4-one under the same conditions. Based on these conditions, in 2-(2-chlorophenyl)-3-phenylquinazolin-4(3H)-one synthesis, stain 2-(2-chlorophenyl)-4H-benzo[d][1,3]oksazin-4-on missing and emerging a new stain, while in 2-(2-chlorophenyl)-3-(4-nitrophenyl) quinozolin-4(3H)-one synthesis, stain 2-(2-chlorophenyl)-4H-benzo[d][1,3] oxazine-4-one is not lost and no new stains appear. It was conclude that nitro groups responsible to reduce reactivity of amine groups to substitute 2-(2-chlorophenyl)-4H-benzo[d][1,3]oxazine-4-one. The reaction between 2-(2-chlorophenyl)-4H-benzo [d][1,3]oxazin-4-one with aniline gave 2-chloro-N-(2-(phenylcarbamoyl)phenyl)benzamide, while reaction between 2-(2-chlorophenyl)-4H-benzo[d][1,3]oxazin-4-one with p-nitroaniline not identified yet to gave 2-(2-Chlorophenyl)-3-(4-Nitrophenyl)Quinazolin-4(3H)-One. The structure of resulted compound were confirmed by UVVis spectrophotometer, IR spectrophotometer and 1H-NMR spectrometer, and mass spectrophotometer.
