Abstract

The purpose of this study is to prove that fermented rice bran suplemented with Spirulina plantesis can lower cholesterol levels of eggs in laying hens. Twenty-five laying hens were divided into five groups. The experimental design in this study used Completely Randomized Design. There were a control group and four treatment groups, which were given rice bran rice 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%. During the first seven days, each group was adapted to the feed formula. On the 8th day, the treatment was given fermented rice bran and Spirulina plantesis. On the 21st day, Chicken Chicken Egg Test will be conducted at Physiology Laboratory of Faculty of Medicine Universitas Brawijaya. The results of total egg cholesterol data will be processed using SPSS 24.0 software data on average then followed by statistical analysis using ANOVA to find out if there is any difference in the real treatment if the treatment gives a real difference then proceed with Duncan Test. The results obtained can be summarized as follows: laying hens with 15% fermented rice bran at T3 have significantly differences reduction of total egg cholesterol (P <0.05) between the treatment groups.
