Abstract

Nowadays, many people prefer to get information in a quick way, accurate, and practical. Hectic schedules and full-time jobs make them not to have a lot time to access the information in order to stay up-to-date. Actually there are many ways to facilitate us to get information, either through electronic, printed or online media. Radio is one of the electronic media that may access information quickly and practically, one can do other things while listening to the radio. Even when someone is on his way to the office, he can listen to the radio and get information, it can also be entertaining. As the biggest radio network in Indonesia, Prambors radio always tries to give the most accurate news and best entertainment to its listeners. Prambors radio becomes one of the favorite radio stations in Surabaya, especially for young listeners. At the beginning, Prambors was established by a group of young people from Jakarta; Imran Amir, Mursid Rustam, Malik Sjafei, Bambang Wahyudi, and Tri Tunggal. Then, it develop into a larger one until it has 8 units. This radio station is under management of Jaringan Delta Female Indonesia (JDFI). JDFI is a segmented radio network owned by MRN (Masima Radio Network). MRN has Prambors, Delta, Female, and Bahana radio. Their programs are very informative and entertaining. Masima Radio Network is formed by Malik Sjafei and Imran Amir. The writer learned a lot of things, got new experiences and knowledge after doing the internship as a social media editor at Prambors Radio 89.3 FM Surabaya. This internship program can be used to learn many things about journalism and how to be a good journalist. This is so because she has a desire to start her career in journalism after she graduates. Therefore, this is an opportunity for her to learn how to become a social media editor, how to manage schedules for broadcasting, and how to prepare and produce the materials before they are broadcasted. During her internship at Prambors radio, she got unforgettable memories because she did her job related to her passion. The writer also gained a lot of information about Prambors FM Surabaya and also learn how to maintain radio program. Besides, the staff are fun, creative, and energetic. Doing the internship at Prambors radio also made her able to apply what she had learned during her study at the English Diploma program.
