Abstract

One of the prevention of dengue is by using vaccine, but still has some disadvantages such as unequal levels of immunity to the four serotypes of dengue. Several recombinant vaccines have also been developed for safety reasons. In recombinant vaccine using E protein as a vaccine candidate, however, it can not produce antibodies against each serotype. In this study, the aim of this study was to investigate the mesenchymal potential of stem cells transfected with IgG encoding genes for dengue virus serotype DENV 1,2,3 and 4 with mediators that have been inserted by paratope-encoding gene against dengue serotype 1-4. Results from plasmids extracted from stem cells transfected with control group plasmids and dengue treatment did not change from prior to transfection. This result probably means that the plasmid DNA sent to the nucleus by the transfectant does not undergo active transcription. From the transfection results, there are changes of some nucleotides, but the nucleotide changes do not affect the arrangement of amino acid-forming proteins. The results of this transfection can be continued testing as immune therapy.
