Abstract

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most frequent of endocrine abnormality in reproductive women with prevalence about 4-12%. In PCOS, there is foliculogenesis disorder, which the dominant follicle is not performed. The main therapy nowadays is ovulation induction. Rat bone marrow transplantation in PCOS can increase kit ligand secretion as the initiation of primordial follicle and normalize the folliculogenesis. In most of clinical trial, and most of the animal model research, stem cell was transplantated by intravenous route administration. But in present, there are some tendency of any research use intraperitoneal route, considering efectivity. Objective : To prove that intraperitoneal rat bone marrow stem cell transplantation in PCOS rat model is more effective than intravenous from folliculogenesis and TGF- β expression Method : Performed the experimental study with post test only control group design. This study used PCOS rat model, divided by three groups, placebo administration, intravenous stem cell transplantation 1x106 unit, and intraperitoneal stem cell transplantation 1x106 Result : There were no significant difference of TGF- β expression between placebo (3,08±1,32), intravenous transplantation (3,50±1,433) and intraperitoneal transplantation (5,10±2,164) with P>0,05. There were no significant difference of primary follicle, secondary follicle, tertiary follicle, between placebo (3,08±1,32), intravenous transplantation (3,50±1,433) and intraperitoneal transplantation (5,10±2,164) with P>0,05
