Abstract

Introduction: This research aims to analyze the correlation between the depression level with weight loss Method The method in this study was analytical observational studies for elderly at Poly Geriatrics RSUD Dr Soetomo Surabaya. They have been agreed to become the subject of this by considering the signed-agreement. Besides, the purpose of this research is to use the cross sectional method. The data which were used in this study were primary and secondary data. The depression level data was obtained from the results of the interview section using the Geriatric Depression scale installation design (GDS). Losing weight data was obtained from the electronic medical record data or autoanamnnesis and heteroanamnesis. It was approximately obtained 42 samples. The analytical technique which was used in this research was spearmen correlation test, because this test can analyze correlation between variables with the scale of the ordinal data.
