Methods: This research is observational-descriptive study that observes type 2 diabetic patients at Endocrinology Outpatient Ward in Dr. Soetomo General Hospital, Surabaya in period of January - February 2017. This is a total sampling research by measuring waist circumference and blood pressure of the patient and gathering secondary data via laboratory results or medical records and continued with data tabulation and analysis descriptively according to revised NCEP:ATPIII criteria. Result : From the total of 134 samples it was found that there are 74,6% samples that classified as metabolic syndrome patients. The metabolic syndrome patients that have components of metabolic syndrome which meet the criteria are the waist circumference of 31% men and 55% women, fasting plasma glucose of 89% patients, systolic pressure of 58% patients, diastolic pressure of 23% patients, triglycerides levels of 57% patients, HDL levels of 33% men and 49% women.
