Abstract

Medical care that given by medical practitioners will be always related with the laws. The laws regulate every single aspect between doctor-patient relationships. The doctors who do not give proper treatment and do not follow the procedures during the medication may receive some sanctions. But, there is legal protection for doctors who have worked acording to their standards. The type of this research is an observational research. The design of this research is using Delphi method. The research is done by a qualitative analysis with a normative juridical approach and concluded in a descriptive way. The conclusions of this research are there is legal protection for doctors in Indonesia. The doctors who do not provide medical treatment according to their professional standards and standard operating procedure can lead to medical dispute and make the doctors receive some sanctions. There is an alternative dispute resolution in the way to resolve medical dispute.
