Abstract

Penelitian ini meneliti tentang pengaruh NPM, debt to total asset, dividend payout ratio, ukuran perusahaan, dan PBV dalam hubungannya dengan income smoothing di perusahaan perbankan. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sebanyak 23 perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2008-2012. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah semua variabel kecuali dividend payout ratio berpengarih positif terhadap income smoothing. Namun, variabel dividend payout ratio berpengaruh negatif terhadap income smoothing yang artinya semakin besar dividend payout ratio maka semakin kecil kemungkinan perusahaan melakukan income smoothing.
