Abstract
Introduction: The number of morbidity and mortality among hemodialysis patients is persistently high because of the complexity of the dialysis process and the need for continuous treatment plans. The availability of those data is needed for planning and delivering treatments through the plan effectiveness analysis. However, no data analysis and data is reporting to show the quality of healthcare/renal unit services. Measuring quality of renal care to identify practice pattern will engage and support clinicians in improve the healthcare quality. The purpose of this study was to create application system design through processing data of Hemodialysis Unit In East Java Hospital. Method: This was an action research study conducted in Indonesian Society of Nephrology East Java Region (PERNEFRI). The step of design system covered from Indonesian renal registry(IRR) data and import the data to the application. Data were collected by the in-depth interview and document study by three informants was administrator and two of PERNEFRI staff. Result: the output of the application was described and evaluated the quality health care through dialysis care unit standard and clinical measurement performance involve nurse renal/machine of dialysis ratio, the machine of dialysis/patients ratio, nurse renal/patients ratio, TDS value, mortality rate, dialysis product,% hb,% treatment for anemia, % albumin, %calcium, % phosphate, % CaxP. The renal unit didn’t meet the standard would be shown in the application automatically with the mark. Conclusion: Overall, this study showed that the application design could describe the quality of care through following quality of care indicators and improve clinical practice as early warning system.
