Abstract
Along with the advantages of the horse industry, the technology in improving breeding results for horse performances is also growing rapidly. One of problems in the reproduction management of horse is the low of clinical symptom of estrous, to facilitate the breeders there is a technology to snapping estrous is the use of PGF2α, but if it is often used side effects is a cystic follicles, but now there has been an alternative technology that is acupuncture. Acupuncture serves to balance the condition of the body and stimulate to improve productivity. This research is aimed to get information about clinical symptom of estrous and increase size of follicle after treated with laserpuncture, treatment of laserpuncture applied 1 times a day for 3 days with the receiving acupoints being GV 4 (Ming-Men), Bai-Hui, BL 23 (Shen-shu), BL 24 (Qi-Hai-Shu), BL 25 (Da-Chang-Shu), BL-54 (Ba -shan or Zhi-bian or cervical point) and BL-36 (Xie-qi or Cheng-fu or ovarian point).The laserpuncture study uses a soft laser type semiconductor laserpuncture with 100mW power supply specification, the dose of 0.5 joules, with 5 seconds firing time, ultrasound, glove, medical ultrasound gel, and camera. Result of this reaserch showed that laserpuncture treated at 12 reproduction acupoint can made the horse estrous, showed the clinilcal symptom, and increasing size of follicle, the size of the follicle increase from the right ovary 2 times larger, also the follicle one from the left ovary 3 times larger and the second follicle of the left ovary 5 times larger.
