Abstract

Banks that function as financial intermediaries especially in lending are very important in supporting economic growth. One of the loans disbursed by banks is consumer loans, where there are several factors that can affect the banks in the distribution of consumer credit. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of lending rates, inflation, third party funds and Return On Assets (ROA) on consumer credit offerings channeled by commercial banks in Indonesia period 2012: 1 - 2016: 7. The method used is Error Correction Model (ECM) method for short-term analysis and Ordinary Least Squared (OLS) method for long term. Based on the results of ECM in the short term, the Third Party Fund variable significantly affects the credit distribution of the consumption of commercial banks in Indonesia, while the variable of lending rate, inflation and ROA have no significant effect. Long-term OLS results indicate that the variable of Third Party Fund and lending rate have significant effect while ROA variable and inflation have no significant effect on consumer loan distribution of commercial banks in Indonesia
