Abstract
This research was to study and identify the presence of Spirometra sp. in commonly consumed frogs by human in Tulangan, Sidoarjo district. A total of 30 samples were taken in three different time from collectors and the identification was conducted in Laboratory of Parasitology, Universitas Airlangga by Semichen- Acetic Carmine staining method. The larvae that found in the subcutaneous tissue of human consumed frog was belong to Spirometra genus which is included in Cestoda class were matched by macroscopic and microscopic taxonomy and observation. The result of this research showed that there are sparganosis case in human consumed frog gathered from Tulangan, Sidoarjo district, East Java.
