The theory applied for this study is ‘Queer' theory especially gender performativity by Judith Butler. This study used a qualitative method with narrative and non-narrative aspects. In the narrative aspect, the selected scenes and transcribes of the dialogue used to find the problem within the text for then analyzed it. While in non-narrative aspects, the data collected from technical elements which brought such signs and symbols that help in supporting and strengthening the analysis of the data. The result shows that the repetition of performative gender, cross-dressing and revelation are the way of gender performativity that is shown in Einar/ Lili, a character in The Danish Girl (2015) film. The context of Denmark in 1930s also influenced Lili to performs her gender. The character of Einar Wegener portrayed his gender performativity as a woman rather than a man because the feminine side becomes more natural to him after such repetition, cross-dressing and revelation. It is proved that gender performativity makes the identity of gender not only obtained from what the sexual genital from birth, but also something act continuously.
