Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menguji keberadaan horizontal spillover dan backward linkage pada perusahaan dan supplier domestik dari hadirnya partisipasi investasi asing langsung (foreign direct investment) pada industri kimia dasar, barang kimia, dan farmasi di Indonesia. Selain itu penelitian ini juga menguji tingkat produktivitas tenaga kerja perusahaan asing dengan perusahaan domestik dalam industri kimia dasar, barang kimia, dan farmasi, serta menguji tingkat produktivitas tenaga kerja perusahaan asing dengan tingkat kepemilikan minoritas dan mayoritas dengan tingkat produktivitas tenaga kerja perusahaan domestik. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik regresi micro-data panel dengan time series mulai tahun 2004 – 2009 dan cros section sebanyak 668 perusahaan berdasarkan ISIC 5 digit dalam sektor industri kimia dasar, barang kimia dan farmasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaaan produktivitas tenaga kerja antara perusahaan asing dengan perusahaan domestik, begitu juga dengan tingkat produktivitas tenaga kerja perusahaan asing dengan tingkat kepemilikan minoritas dan mayoritas tidak berbeda dengan perusahaan domestik, serta tidak terdapat horizontal spillover pada perusahaan domestik dalam kelompok industri yang sama, namun terdapat backward linkage pada supplier domestik dalam industri kimia dasar, barang kimia, dan farmasi di Indonesia. Translation: This study aims to determine and test the existence of horizontal and backward linkage spillover to domestic firms and suppliers of the presence of participation of foreign direct investment (foreign direct investment) on the basis of the chemical industry, chemical goods, and pharmaceuticals in Indonesia. In addition this study also examined the level of labor productivity of foreign firms with domestic firms in the basic chemical industry, chemical goods, and pharmaceuticals, as well as test the level of labor productivity of foreign firms with the minority and majority ownership by the level of labor productivity of domestic firms. This study uses regression techniques with a panel micro-data time series starting in 2004 - 2009 and cross section as many as 668 companies is based on ISIC 5 digits in the basic chemical industry, chemical and pharmaceutical goods. The results showed that there were no differences in labor productivity between foreign firms with domestic firms, as well as the level of labor productivity of foreign firms with the minority and majority ownership is no different from domestic firms, and there are no horizontal spillover to domestic firms in industry groups same, but there is a backward linkage to the domestic supplier base in the chemical industry, chemical goods, and pharmaceuticals in Indonesia.
