Abstract
Exclusive breastfeeding is providing breast milk to an infant without any additional food, include water (except medicines or vitamins) for 6 month and continued breasfeeding along with solid food up to 2 years of age. The percentage to infants ages 0-6 months exclusively breastfeed in Indonesia was 42 % in 2012. Based on preliminary study, prevalence of breastfeeding in Puskesmas Waru was 48,2% in 2017. One of the reason is mother have to return to work. The purpose of this study is to determine association between the factors and exclusive breastfeeding to working mother in Wedoro. This study used observational analytic and cross sectional design. Population was working mother who had infants ages 6 to 24 month at Posyandu Wedoro. Samples consisted of 46 working mother, enrolled based on inclusion criteria. The independent variables were knowledge, perception, working time, time of return to work, avaliability of breastfeeding facilities at work, health worker support, husband support, and family support. The dependent variables was exclusive breastfeeding. Data were collected by questionaire then analyze by Chi-Square and Fisher’s Exact Test with significance level of α < 0,05. The result showed a significant relationship between avaliability of breastfeeding facilities at work (p=0,038) and family support (p=0,010) with exclusive breastfeeding to working mothers in Wedoro. There was no significat relationship between knowledge (p=0,763), perception (p=1,000), working time (p=0,323), time of return to work (p=0,055), health worker support (p=0,191), and husband support (p=1,000) with exclusive breastfeeding to working mothers in Wedoro.
