GAMBARAN KEMAMPUAN ADAPTASI SANTRI DI PONDOK PESANTREN AS-SA’IDIYAH 1 BAHRUL ULUM TAMBAK BERAS JOMBANG.

Abstract
Background: To be able to adapt well in a boarding school has many obstacles.
Obstacles arise because of the difficulty to adaptate with the rules apllied by
boarding school for its santri. Method: This study is a preliminary study to describe
the adaptability of santri in As-sa'idiyah 1 Bahrul Ulum boarding school, Tambak
Beras. This study uses Rogers’ innovation diffusion theory. The independent
variable in this study was demographic data and diffusion stage of rogers
innovation. Meanwhile the dependent variable was adaptability. Samples in this
study was 143 santri in As-sa'idiyah 1 Bahrul Ulum boarding school. The data was
analyzed using Spearman’s rho. Results: The results of the data analysis showed p
value of each variable at sex demographic data (p = 0.38), age (p = 0.18), education
(p = 0.76), length of stay (0.533), city origin (0.861), (0.153), for the diffusion stage
of rogers innovation for the knowledge stage (0.730), the persuasion stage (0.530),
the decision stage (0.013), the implementation stage (0.179), the confirmation stage
(0.664 ) Discussion: Age had a correlation with adaptation ability, while Gender,
education, length of stay, origin of city, children and family member who also live
in boarding school did not have any relation with adaptability. The diffusion stage
of rogers innovation which has a correlation with adaptability were the decision
stage, whereas knowledge, persuasion, implementation, and confirmation showed
no relationship to adaptability.
