Abstract

The aims of this study was to identify the case of feline mammary tumors in the Teaching Hospital of Veterinary Medicine Faculty of Airlangga University and influence of the breed, age and condition of the reproductive organs on the development of mammary tumors. The study was done by descriptive analysis, result of verification from medical record of Teaching Hospital of Veterinary Medicine Faculty of Airlangga University period 2013-2017. The sample then reconfirmed to the patient's owner. The results showed the number of cases of mammary tumors tended to increase. The highest case of mammary tumor was found in Persian with 4 cases (44%), followed by Domestic with 3 cases (33%) and Mixbreed with 2 cases (22%). Based on the age of the cat, cases of mammary tumors at a young age (7 months - 2 years) of 4 cases or 44%, adult age (3-6 years) of 4 cases or 44%, and old age (7-10 years) case or 11%. All female cat patients with the condition of intact reproductive organs. In the incidence of mammary tumor known pattern of relationship between breed and age of cats.In Domestic cats the incidence of mammary tumors is found in young, adult and old age, whereas in Persian cats the incidence of dominant mammae tumors attacks young and some are found in adult age. In the adult age the incidence of mammary tumors are often found to infect cats Mixbreed.
