Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of red dragon peels powder (Hylocereus polyrhizus) as feed supplement on crude fibre and crude digestibility fat in Rex male fattening rabbits. Rabbits was placed in individual cages and adapted to commercial feed. The supplementation of red dragon peels powder in feed respectively 0%, 7%, 8%, and 9% was given for four weeks. The data was collected at the fourth week (for seven days) as a data consumption, feces weight and proximate analysis of the treatment feed and feces. Research using completely randomized design with four treatment and five replications. Data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with significance level of 5%. The result showed that were no significantly difference (p>0,05) on digestibility of crude fibre and crude fat in fattening rabbits. Red dragon peels powder on feed can be given up to the level of 9% for fattening rabbits.
