Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between maintenance system with the prevalence of toxocariasis in pet cats in Banyuwangi. This study using 138 sample from pet cats. Fecal examination using simple native method, floatation method and sedimentation method. Questionnaire data collection includes cat maintenance system. Data obtained from this study were presented descriptively and analyzed by Chi-Square test. The result of 138 fecal sample tested, found 33 positive infected with T.cati or prevalence is 23.91%. Based on the correlation between maintenance system with prevalence of toxocariasis in pet cats in Banyuwangi Subdistric, statistically significant correlation was found in anthelmintic administration (p <0.001).
